Inbound guide

What happens when ecommerce inventory arrives

Receiving is easier to manage when the shipment details and the next fulfillment step are known before cartons arrive.

Send shipment information early

Provide the carrier, tracking information, expected arrival date, carton count, and a contact person who can answer product questions if needed.

Match cartons to product information

An SKU list, unit counts, product labels, packaging notes, and variant information help create a reliable reference for the incoming inventory.

Define the next action

Receiving may be followed by order fulfillment, Amazon preparation, kitting, relabeling, repacking, or another project. State that next action before the inbound delivery arrives.

Avoid assumptions about storage

STIM Group does not currently offer long-term storage. Inventory receiving should therefore be planned around an active, agreed fulfillment workflow.
